Do you have an upcoming AirAsia flight that’s been cancelled? In light of continuing uncertainty in the travel industry, the airline has made some changes to their flight change policy. Unlimited AirAsia flight changes are still available for new flights up to 31 December 2020.

AirAsia flight changes

If your AirAsia flight has been cancelled by the airline, you now have two available options:

  • Unlimited flight changes
    • Change to any new travel date before 31th December 2020
      • On the same route
      • Available for an unlimited number of times
      • No additional cost
      • Subject to seat availability
  • Credit account (available for BIG members)
    • Retain the value of the flight booking in your AirAsia BIG Member account
    • Use for future travel with AirAsia
    • Redeem within 730 calendar days (2 years) from the issuance date.
  • The travel date of the new booking can be on any date within the published flight schedule on airasia.com.

Received a Flight cancelled email?

If you’ve received a flight cancellation notice via email, SMS or phone call:

  • For direct online bookings made via airasia.com:
    • At the airline’s AI chatbot AVA
    • Support.airasia.com or airasia.com
    • The communication should include a link you can use
    • Make your selection from the available options
  • For group bookings or those made with travel agents:
    • Refer to your booking agents for further assistance

AirAsia advises that their customer support services, including AVA, are receiving a higher-than-usual volume of requests due to the current situation. However, they wish to assure all travellers that that they are working to engage quickly with all customers. Please note that priority will be given to those with immediate flight departure needs.

AirAsia assures travellers that the safety and wellbeing of their passengers and Allstars is their top priority. AirAsia is complying with advice and regulations from local governments, civil aviation authorities, global and local health agencies.

AirAsia is closely monitoring the global health situation and reserves the right to announce further policies according to the latest developments.
