Malindo Air has issued a statement on Sunday 11th October 2020, to alert the public to an illegal website posing as Malindo Air. The fake website, identified as flymalindoairways.com, has been illegally offering Malindo Air tickets for sale.
The illegal website is selling Malindo Air tickets via a payment gateway that has not been registered with the airline’s system. All purchases made through the impersonator’s website are therefore not captured in the airline’s database.
Malindo Air advises the public to be wary over fake reservation platforms. For your safety, ensure that ticket booking is done via Malindo Air’s official website (malindoair.com) or registered online travel agencies (OTA) only. Malindo Air has filed an official report to MyCert regarding the fake website flymalindoairways.com. A police report has also been made.
