AirAsia adds two new international routes to Penang

Travellers to and from Penang will be happy they can now travel direct to two popular destinations. The inaugural flight from Phuket landed in Penang just after lunch on 1st July 2018 and on the other new route from Hanoi, touched down just after 11pm. AirAsia will fly four times weekly to Hanoi, capital of Vietnam and daily to Phuket, southern Thailand. This brings the number of AirAsia’s international one-way flights into Penang, to 307 flights weekly on eight routes. 

With the addition of Hanoi and Phuket, AirAsia now flies internationally from Penang to

  • Jakarta
  • Singapore
  • Medan
  • Ho Chi Minh City
  • Surabaya
  • Bangkok

as well as five domestic routes – Penang to

  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Johor Bahru
  • Kuching
  • Kota Kinabalu 
  • Langkawi
