With International flights into Canberra now available, the introduction of the Canberra free city bus loop in the Australian National Capital has been welcome news for visitors.
The new service began operations on 4th July 2016, giving visitors to the Australian Capital an easier way to get around the city proper. Route 101 runs between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
The route doesn’t cover the main attractions. The city is quite spread out, resulting in decentralisation of the Museums, the War Memorial and the new and old Parliament Houses. If you need to get to another destination outside the loop, the loop takes in the City Bus Station. This gives you easy access to other routes, for which you can purchase tickets.
For more information on this service as well as the other services offered, visit the Transport Canberra website.
What to do in Canberra?
Apart from the usual things on the ‘tourist list’, if you’re a museum fan, why don’t you check out the Old Parliament House, now a museum.
