Singapore Airlines increases services to Japan

Singapore Airlines (SIA) services to Japan get a boost with the addition of a fourth daily service to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport in December 2018. The airline currently runs two daily Narita Airport services, this additional Haneda flight gives travellers six choices daily to Tokyo.

Services To Japan – details

The new services will be added to meet growing travel demand between Singapore and Japan. The fourth daily Haneda service will be introduced from 28th December 2018, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This adds over 1,800 seats per week on the route.

Singapore (SIN) – Tokyo’s Haneda (HND)

Singapore Airlines currently operates two daily services on the Singapore-Osaka route, using its new Boeing 787-10 aircraft, featuring the Airline’s recently launched regional cabin products.

SIA will operate the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the Airbus A380, to Osaka Kansai daily between 28th October 2018 and 30th March 2019. This adds over 720 seats per week on the Singapore-Osaka route.

Other SIA services to Japan

  • In addition to Osaka and Tokyo, Singapore Airlines flies daily to both Fukuoka and Nagoya.
  • SIA’s regional subsidiary, SilkAir, operates three weekly services to Hiroshima.
  • The airline’s low-cost subsidiary, Scoot, operates
    • eleven weekly services to Osaka
    • four weekly services to Sapporo
    • seventeen weekly services to Tokyo’s Narita Airport

The new service to Haneda Airport brings the SIA Group total flights between Singapore and Japan to 105 weekly.

The new flights are subject to regulatory approvals. Tickets will be available online and from your preferred travel agent.
