TransNusa Airline is an Indonesian Premium Service Carrier. A Low-Cost Carrier prior to the covid-19 pandemic, the airline has since had a take-over and management change, before a rebrand and re-launch in 2022 with upgraded aircraft, as a Premium Service Carrier.

The airline’s new owners, PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, have since expanded the network connectivity in the first six months of 2025 to include two new international routes from Bali, one to Perth and the second from Bali to Guangzhou, China.

In addition, TransNusa will increase its scheduled flight frequency from Jakarta to Singapore from twice daily to three times daily for the month of July to cope with demand during Indonesia’s peak travelling season. The additional flight, 8B 155, will depart from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 06.30pm to arrive at Changi Airport at 09.15pm. He added that

….The fact that TransNusa has managed to obtain all necessary approvals for an additional scheduled flight in such a short timeframe, reflects the importance and commitment we have towards safety, security, maintenance and aircraft performance measures.

TransNusa domestic market will also see the airline increasing its scheduled flight frequency from Jakarta to Singkawang to seven scheduled flights weekly from the current four times weekly. This flight departs Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 11.45am, arriving at the Singkawang Airport at 01.25pm, while the return flight departs Singkawang at 02.10pm to arrive in Jakarta at 03.50pm.

TransNusa has become one of the fastest growing airlines in South East Asia. They also operate daily flights between Subang Airport (Kuala Lumpur’s city airport) and Jakarta with future flights listed as using one of their four COMAC ARJ21, a regional jet manufactured by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China. The airline also has four Airbus A320-200 and one Airbus A321-200 in service.

In the last six months, the airline has strengthened its base in Bali, introducing two new routes, Bali to Perth and Bali to GuangZhou, China.
