Change of travel plans? We’ve seen  lots of traveller comments over the years expressing unhappiness with the difficulties encountered when travellers on various Malaysian airlines have to change their plans. AirAsia MOVE ‘Easy Cancel’ seems to be AirAsia’s response to these issues.

AirAsia MOVE Easy Cancel: how it works

Easy Cancel is a new add-on feature available only on the AirAsia MOVE app, that allows travellers to cancel their AirAsia flights up to 48 hours before departure and receive the money back in ten days.

Easy Cancel empowers travellers to book flights with confidence, offering the freedom to cancel for any reason, no questions asked. Whether it’s an unexpected schedule conflict or a simple change of heart, the new feature provides flexibility, making travel planning easier and more adaptable to customer needs.

Is it right for me?

Easy Cancel does cost money. depending whether you want a full refund, or just a portion, or whether this is covered by your travel insurance. Travellers can choose the refund option between 80% and 100% coverage inclusive of add-ons such as baggage, meals, and other fees. Easy Cancel must be purchased during the booking process and cannot be added later via the Manage Booking section.

It’s not available for flights on other airlines booked through AirAsia.

To add the Easy Cancel option to your booking, after selecting preferred flights and entering passenger details, all you need to do is click ‘Continue to Add-Ons.’ Proceed by clicking ‘Continue’ once more, and then select the Easy Cancel option from the available choices.
