Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been named Travellers’ Choice ‘Best Airline 2018’ in the latest TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Selection criteria for Best Airline 2018

Winner selection is based on global travellers’ reviews focusing on outstanding service, quality and value.

TripAdvisor does this by use of an algorithm that takes into account the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings. Data recorded over a 12-month period is used to determine the award recipients.

Singapore Airlines’ CEO Goh Choon Phong said the airline is honoured to receive this and the other awards. He considers the award validation of the hard work and dedication of their staff, who maintain the airline’s global standards.

He added

Our business model is based around three main pillars – product leadership, service excellence and network connectivity. We are continuing to invest heavily in all three areas to ensure we have industry-leading offerings that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, both on the ground and in the air. Goh Choon Phong

In addition to the “Best Airline in the World’ title, SIA has also received the 2018 awards for:

  • Best Airline – Asia
  • World’s Best International First Class
  • Best Economy Class – World
  • Asia’s Best International First Class
