Malindo Air / Turkish Airlines Codeshare takes off

by on November 13, 2017

Malindo Air and Turkish Airlines have begun a code-sharing partnership, following the interline partnership agreement inked in June 2016. The code-sharing co-operation, which took effect from 6th September 2017, takes the partnership to a new level. This allows both airlines to use the code-sharing partnership to offer their passengers more travel options.

Code-sharing partnership – where can I fly?

Turkish Airlines will place its marketing code and flight number on Malindo Air’s flights from Kuala Lumpur to

  • Denpasar (Indonesia)*
  • Perth (Australia)
  • Langkawi (Malaysia)
  • Penang (Malaysia)
  • Kuching (Malaysia) and
  • Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia)

Malindo Air will place its marketing code and flight number on the trunk route (Kuala Lumpur-Istanbul v.v.) and

  • Istanbul-London
  • Amsterdam
  • Vienna
  • Frankfurt and
  • Copenhagen v.v.

These routes are operated by Turkish Airlines.

Passengers who have been flying these routes since mid-2016, will appreciate the convenience and flexibility of the code-share arrangement. Bookings for flights covered in the code-sharing partnership can now be made from www.malindoair.com and www.turkishairlines.com.     **Some routes may be subject to necessary final civil aviation approvals from the country concerned.

Malindo Air is a Malaysian airline with main hubs at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the convenient KL downtown city airport Subang Skypark in Selangor, Malaysia. Since taking to the skies in 2013, the airline has built up a network across Malaysia, Asia and Australia.

Established in 1933, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is a 4-star airline with a fleet of 328 (passenger and cargo) aircraft. Turkish Airlines flies to 300 destinations worldwide across 120 countries.
