Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced their partnership with Plug and Play. The aim is to further promote creativity and innovation within the airline industry using digital solutions. The technology company is a startup innovation platform based in Silicon Valley,

Plug And Play continues its foray into the Asian airspace with this recent  partnership with Singapore Airlines. Their Travel & Hospitality programme launched in 2016 has, to date, accelerated 95 startups.  The travel industry is attracting many startups and other airlines are also jumping on board to work with the company to grow their businesses for mutual benefit. The company supports these companies by providing connections to interested corporations, mentorship, and access to funding.

How Plug And Play will work with SIA

Tech startups identify and develop solutions for business challenges. Plug and Play and SIA will jointly identify startups who are focused on the aviation and travel sectors. They will need to demonstrate new ideas and technologies that effectively address the challenges.

The partnership will complement SIA’s digital innovation programme. This advances SIA’s digital capabilities and leverages on emerging technologies to redefine customers’ travel experience.

Both Singapore Airlines and Plug and Play have expressed excitement for the future of the partnership.
