AirAsia X Ultimate Xventure winners Emalina Aimi Edris and her three travel buddies surprised themselves recently when they emerged as champions, picking up trips to New Zealand. The team won the grand prize of a four-day, three nights trip to New Zealand after defeating three other teams in the challenge.

Ultimate Xventure winners – how they won

This two part social media contest ran from 31 July 2017 to 17 August 2017 as a collaboration between AirAsia X and Sunway.

Participants were required to:

  • upload videos of adventure sports activities on Instagram with hashtags #UltimateXventure and #AirAsiaX along with Insta stories
  • selected participants battled it out at Sunway Lagoon on Sunday 20th August 2017

The challenges during the final gave the adventure seekers a feel of the New Zealand experience awaiting the winners. Emalina is a big fan of extreme adventure sports and was overwhelmed by the victory.

…. It came as a surprise as we thought we did poorly initially. I didn’t know that AirAsia X flies to New Zealand before this (contest). It was in my bucket list last year and it is happening this year. Emalina

Emalina added that she would discuss travel dates to New Zealand with her travel buddies. Ayman Syafeq Zainuddin, Muhammad Saifuddin Hassanmudin, and Anisah Othman will travel with Emalina.

AirAsia X launched daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Aucklandon 23rd March 2016.  There’s a quick stopover in Gold Coast, Australia in each direction – a chance to stretch your legs. Book your tickets online at AirAsia.com, the mobile site mobile.airasia.com or on AirAsia’s mobile app on iPhone and Android devices.
