Singapore Airlines have advised that flights on the recently announced Singapore-Jakarta-Sydney route due to start in November 2016 have been delayed due to runway maintenance works at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. These works, which affect a number of airlines flying in to Jakarta have led to the withdrawal of the approval by the Indonesian civil aviation authorities.
The thrice weekly flights were due to start on 23rd November 2016 All the necessary written approvals had been received from the Indonesian civil aviation authorities and the airport slots had been secured. Singapore Airlines has apologised for the inconvenience caused to their customers and is currently in the process of contacting affected passengers who will be offered alternative flights.
