On Wednesday, Jun 22, the second round of the 2016 State of Origin will be hard fought in Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane. Whether you’re a returning Queenslander cheering on the Maroons or you’ll be wearing blue for the New South Welshmen, you’ll need somewhere to stay, close to the stadium and easy to reach from the airport. We’ve found a couple of things that can help in both departments.

 If you need accommodation…

Hotel Jen - Deluxe Room

There are quite a few hotels and serviced apartment options available close to the stadium and also close to Roma Street Station.

One such option is the Hotel Jen where they have packages of room/Airtrain ticket available until the end of January 2017. Also included is FREE Wi-Fi connectivity for up to 3 devices. Prices start at AU$195 for a single deluxe room with a return Airtrain ticket, up to AU$280 for an executive double with two return Airtrain tickets. There’s also a handy currency converter if you’re paying in a different currency.

Bookings can be made online or by phone ((07) 3238 2222) with the code Jen’s Airtrain Express Deal. The hotel is within walking distance to the Suncorp Stadium.

If you only need the train…

Whether you have a TransLink go card (adult or concession) or purchase a paper ticket, you’ll pay AU$17.50 for a one-way ticket.
The best way to purchase your Brisbane Airtrain ticket is by booking it online, the earlier the better, saving yourself up to 15%.
If you’re travelling with a friend, or want a Train/Transfer option, all the choices are available at the bottom of the Airtrain website homepage.
