With the departure of QF71 the afternoon of 26th June 2015 from Perth bound for Singapore, Qantas announced its re-entry into the Singapore route with five return services weekly. With a flying time of just over 5 hours, the Boeing 737 aircraft leaves at lunchtime and is scheduled to land at 5.20pm.
The return of the direct flights between the two cities to the airline’s international network, is in response to customer requests and since the flight was made available in April, has seen customers taking advantage of good offers to Singapore and beyond.
The timing of the flights into Singapore in the early evening every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday allows customers to make smooth connections to the rest of Asia with Qantas partner airlines, with Koh Samui, Phuket and Tokyo being some of the most popular choices.
A number of Qantas codeshare partners have also been attracted to the Perth-Singapore schedule, adding their code to the Qantas flights, with nine carriers now marketing the services to their customers.
Other good things in store for travellers out of Perth
Qantas passengers flying out of Perth can also look forward top seasonal flights to New Zealand between October this year and April 2016.
