Qantas adds extra flights to Hobart & Bali

Travellers from Hobart will have more services to take them to Sydney and Melbourne from 8th March 2016 in a newly announced expanded schedule timed to fit with both the business day and international connections from the two cities.

The services, which will be offered by QantasLink Boeing 717 jet aircraft will increase the number of flights from 35 to 46 return services per week adding an extra 2,420 seats to and from Hobart. Apart from shorter connection times in Sydney and Melbourne to overseas destinations, the extra flights will offer more opportunities for mainland visitors wishing to holiday in Tasmania.

The two additional two-class B717s required to enable these extra flights will increase the total fleet to 20 aircraft. The extra flights also provide more jobs at the Hobart base, with the additional 10 pilots and 15 cabin crew almost doubling the current staff.

Denpasar, Bali

Qantas has responded to increasing demand from Australians travelling to Bali with new seasonal services to operate direct from Sydney during the 2015/16 holiday season in December and January.

Qantas will operate an additional four services per week using B737 aircraft, making a total of 33 return services between Sydney and Bali. Combined with Jetstar’s 65 services per week from Australia, the Qantas Group will make available a total of 603 services during the peak travel season to one of Australia’s most popular overseas holiday destinations.

Qantas’ new seasonal Bali services will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 4th December 2015 to 29th January 2016 with fares starting from $733 return, available for sale through the Qantas website or your preferred Travel Agent.

Qantas passengers have a checked baggage allowance, inflight entertainment and food and beverage included in the fare and Economy customers will have the opportunity experience the airline’s much vaunted new economy dining experience with more choice and faster service.
