New AirAsia Cambodia launches three domestic destinations

The AirAsia Group has grown with the launch of the new airline AirAsia Cambodia (flight code KT) in Phnom Penh, Monday 18th March 2024. The new airline is preparing for take-off, starting with domestic flight operations to three domestic destinations, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville with tickets now open for sale. The new airline’s inaugural flight is scheduled to take off on 2nd May 2024, utilising two A320 aircraft based at Phnom Penh International Airport.

Flights to all three destinations, with daily frequencies, are now available for booking with 6,000 FREE Seats* for the travel period between 2nd May 2024 and 29th March 2025 on the AirAsia website and the AirAsia MOVE app, previously known as ‘airasia Superapp’.

Speaking to media following the launch, he added that the airline will initially take delivery of two new Airbus 321 aircraft, with planning in place to grow this to 16 planes. As the fleet grows, the network is expected to expand internationally with the first destinations likely to be in North Eastern Asia.

He added that

AirAsia’s vast international network links Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville to over 130 destinations across Asia and beyond, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, via its hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand.
