PREVIOUS: Malaysia Airlines to restart Kuala Lumpur-Brisbane flights

From today, Malaysia Airlines will be resuming a route that it has not operated in 3 years. Kuala Lumpur-Brisbane will again feature on the departure board four times per week. It’s a welcome change for the Sunshine State, for until now the quickest flights to Kuala Lumpur were via Bali on Malindo Air, or from the Gold Coast with AirAsia X.

Schedule

The schedule differs slightly from the previous rotation:
Flight Direction Days Departs Arrives
MH 135 Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat 10:30 AM 8:35 PM
MH 134 Brisbane to Kuala Lumpur Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat 11:20 PM 5:50 AM+1
This is an improvement on the previous earlier departure from Kuala Lumpur. That schedule severely limited same day connections on the return leg from Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane. This schedule allows same-day connections to Brisbane from:

 • London
 • North Asia: Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing
 • South Asia: Colombo, Dhaka, Chennai New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru
 • Southeast Asia: Jakarta, Bangkok
 • and many domestic links
