Malaysia Airlines Group CEO Peter Bellew did his company proud when he collected the ‘Travel Personality of the Year’ award at the prestigious TTG Travel Awards 2017 recently. The award is given to the person judged most outstanding, for acting proactively in developing the travel industry and demonstrating innovation in his field.
The award was presented at the 28th Annual TTG Travel Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner in Bangkok on 28th September 2017.
The Travel Personality of the Year award comes under the Outstanding Achievement category. TTG’s editorial team selects winners for their exceptional contributions as industry role-models. The TTG Travel Awards recognise the best of Asia-Pacific’s travel industry since 1989, honouring organisations and individuals in four categories. These categories acknowledge Travel Suppliers, Travel Agencies, Outstanding Achievement and Travel Hall of Fame.
In accepting the award, Peter Bellew acknowledged the teamwork of all Malaysia Airlines staff, noting that
…. any award, individual or otherwise, the recognition is a collective one for the whole Malaysia Airlines family. I would like to thank my entire team of over 14,000 passionate and committed individuals who work tirelessly to ensure we remain on track in our journey towards both product and service excellence.
