Lufthansa are currently offering special fares to Europe from Malaysia for departure between 1st February and 30th June 2015. Bookings can be made until 29th January and travel must be completed by 30th September. You need to book at least 7 days in advance of your travel date.
Tip! Be warned that the fares have some quite stringent conditions – no stopovers and no child fares other than a 10% infant fare. Rebooking and refunds are not allowed on ‘Economy Saver’ fares offered.
Also to note – the fares advertised are the lowest combinations possible for the destination, so you will need to try different dates if you have the flexibility to do so. As an example a return ‘Economy Basic Plus’ fare Kuala Lumpur – Amsterdam – Kuala Lumpur leaving 18th February will cost you RM2,181 on the out leg and returning on the ‘Economy Saver’ available on 9th March will add RM1,314 for a total fare of RM3,495.00. The fare includes a meal and baggage as well as the fees and taxes applicable.
If you still want to go to Amsterdam but prefer to travel on 2nd February, returning on the 6th, the fares to and from change to RM1,801 and RM1,829 respectively, giving a total of RM3,630. Change the return to 9th March and you can do the whole trip for RM2.600 on ‘Economy Saver’ fares.
Look for their ‘Economy Saver’ fares if you can be certain you will not need to change dates. If you are not sure, try the ‘Economy basic Plus’, which will allow rebooking or refunds, for a fee.
The airline is also offering flights from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta every Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With a Return fare from RM350 including fees and taxes, you can enjoy a convenient early evening flight time, leaving Kuala Lumpur at 6.20 pm with return flights at 9.45pm.
