At the end of every week, we get a slew of offers from various airlines with their updated Sale offers. Here are a few for you to get started …

and a little TIP – you can save when you buy on the Low Cost airlines by travelling hand carry only. Don’t forget to check out their holiday divisions as well – you can pick up some great deals with a stay as well.

Jetstar have their Friday Frenzy from 10am until 6pm, so be quick to catch some of their offers. This Friday you can pick up a one way ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore for MYR39, or if you’re in Australia, they have lots of ‘Backyard Break‘ fares on offer starting from  AU$29 for either way fares between Melbourne (Avalon) and Sydney. If you prefer Tullamarine, you can go for AU$45.

Virgin Australia always have their Happy Hour Sales on Thursday, from 4pm until 11pm, but you can pick up some great deals most times. At the moment they’re promoting island getaways and something for the adventurous – Mystery Breaks – you won’t know where you’re going until the day before. Hmmmm

Malaysia Airlines’Dash for Deals‘ is currently running every weekend, offering  some great one-way or return fares to various destinations including a return ticket to the beautiful Langkawi for MYR193, or you could get a ticket to Tawau in Sabah to go diving return from MYR292. They have a handy little slider so you can indicate your budget so you don’t have to include the trips you may want, but can’t afford just now. (You get 30kg of luggage to play with as well)

AirAsia always have something on Sale! How about these Last Minute Deals – perhaps Colombo or a trip to see the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an for MYR299?
From Australia, how about Kuala Lumpur for AU$229 from Gold Coast or Melbourne? Or Shanghai for AU$359, leaving from the Gold Coast. or Melbourne to Bali for AU$381.

Hybrid airline Malindo Air has some nifty offerings at the moment as well. Their Friday/Saturday weekend fares include a special price of MYR759 to new destination Amritsar in India which starts service on 25th October. Or  perhaps you’d like to try one of their 1 for 1 Business Flexi seats if you pay with a Maybank Card?  (On domestic routes and Singapore you may take free baggage of 20kg, international routes, 30kg)

Last but not least on our list for this week – Scoot, offering special ‘Escape’ deals –  on sale until 17th October from SG$3. That can get you from Singapore to Don Mueang Bangkok or pay SG$89 to the east coast of Oz, if you’re happy to go by 29th October.

That should get you started. If you don’t find anything suitable in this list, most airlines have on-going promotions, it’s not a bad idea to find one that flies where you want to go and monitor what they have to offer. Sooner or later your dream holiday will pop up!
