Hiroshima to be cut from Silkair routes

Hiroshima is set to disappear from the SIA Group network. SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has indefinitely suspended operations to Hiroshima from 27th March 2020. The suspension is due to weak demand, exacerbated by the Covid-19 outbreak.

The last SilkAir flight on this route will be MI867, operating from Hiroshima to Singapore on 26th March 2020.

  1. Good day… Can i ask a question? I just recieved a message from my travel agency that my departure area is change to fokouka airport instead in hiroshima. My concern is that the ticket i buy is still the same? No more changes? And when i go to fokouka the ticket that i buy is the one i will be presented to them? Thank you

    1. You should contact your travel agent as soon as possible. If it is a flight booking only, you will have to find your own way from Fukuoka to Hiroshima. Fukuoka is quite far from Hiroshima. Even by train it will take a few hours. If it is part of a tour, it may mean they have changed the itinerary.
