With the first of Malindo Air’s flights from Kuala Lumpur to Amritsar on October 25th 2015, the airline will become the only carrier offering service on this route. With a sizeable Sikh population in Malaysia, many of whom have retained links with relatives in Punjab, this should provide an easier way for family ties to be maintained in both directions. In addition, as the Sikhs holy city, Amritsar is home to sacred locations such as the famed Golden Temple, making it a very popular pilgrimage destination.
The outbound flight to Amritsar leaves as a conveniently timed morning flight, returning the same afternoon. The time difference between Kuala Lumpur and Amritsar is two and a half hours. This is Malindo Air’s seventh destination in India.

Hot on the heels of this latest Indian Destination come the first entry into Australia with flights to Perth due to start on 19th November. This should also prove to be a popular route as many Malaysians have friends and relatives in Australia, particularly in Perth and to offer as much choice as possible, there will be eleven flights per week. Perth and Kuala Lumpur share the same time zone.
