With the reopening of the tourism sector in Langkawi following the recently announced Langkawi travel bubble, Malindo Air will be offering six daily flights to the island. Five of these flights will be from Subang Skypark and one daily service from KLIA. Services are expected to start from 16th September.

Malindo Air currently operates two daily flights between Langkawi and Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Subang. This city hub, also known as Subang Skypark, remains a popular choice for convenient domestic travel within Peninsular Malaysia.

…. In conjunction with the Langkawi reopening for fully vaccinated passengers, and also in celebrating Malaysia Day, effective September 16, Malindo Air is offering 15 kg free baggage allowance to all Super Saver ticket holders travelling on all Malindo Air flights. Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri, CEO of Malindo Air

He added that 2021 has been another challenging year for the airline industry but conditions have started to improve. Like other operators, he believes the reopening of Langkawi as a travel bubble will be of enormous value to the revival of the hardest hit aviation and tourism industry.

….. We hope this restart will slowly help everyone to be back on their feet again.

Captain Mushafiz assured travellers that Malindo Air’s requirement that all employees are fully vaccinated creates a safer environment both staff and customers. He further noted that travel will inevitably be more complex in the current-COVID period as customers are required to observe SOPs and certain protocols.

Malindo Air have implemented additional safety precautions including enhanced cabin cleaning and rigorous disinfecting. Every aircraft in the Malindo Air fleet is equipped with High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters to remove more than 99.9% of the microbes in the air. This ensures that cabin air is refreshed every two to three minutes throughout the flight.
