The Malaysian Government’s implementation of the Movement Control Order(MCO) to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19, also restricted travel to/from Malaysia. The MCO has now been extended until Tuesday, 9th June 2020 and may be further extended as needed. ERL is the operator of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services. In response to the reduced transport needs between KL Sentral and KLIA/klia2, a ERL Service Schedule Revision has been implemented.

UPDATE to Service Schedule:

KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit now runs a combined service from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm every day, effective 4th May 2020 until further notice. Trains will run every 20 minutes during peak hours on weekdays, and every 30 minutes during off-peak hours, weekends and national public holidays.

In addition, the Malaysian National Security Council has directed all public transportation operators to restrict their operation hours during this period. The ERL service was temporarily suspended from 4th April, due to the extension of the Movement Control Order.

ERL Service Schedule Revision

KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will run as a combined service during the following times every day:

  • 6:00am to 10:00am 30-minute intervals
  • 5:00pm to 10:00pm 30-minute intervals
  • There will be no service between 10am and 5pm.

Departure from KL Sentral Station, for the combined service is from KLIA Ekspres Departure platform. Please remember to practise social distancing at all times, including on the platform and on board the train.
