……. We are reinstating our services to Medan as a response to the robust passenger traffic and load factors across all regions. ……….. We hope this connectivity will help stimulate business and trade growth between Malaysia and Indonesia. CEO of Batik Air, Capt. Mushafiz Bin Mustafa Bakri

He also noted that Medan is a popular holiday destination among Malaysian travellers, with the famous Lake Toba as a major attraction. This additional travelling option offers travellers choice and convenience by bridging the gap between Kuala Lumpur and Medan. He believes that tourism traffic between both countries will grow with the commencement of Batik Air’s new services,  directly contributing to the Government’s plans of turning KLIA into a preferred transit and tourism hub in the region.
