AirAsia will fully implement Self Check-In for all AirAsia and AirAsia X passengers travelling through klia2
from 18th May 2016. As a result, counter check-in at klia2 will no longer be available from 18th May.

However, there will be a dedicated service counter to assist passengers who are

  • pregnant,
  • travelling with infants,
  • have reduced mobility or special needs,

  • or have medical conditions or illnesses.

Self check-in options

Various check-in options are available:

  • kiosk check-in (available at the airport)

Self Bag Tag, where passengers may print their bag tags at home or at the kiosk at the airport is now available at KLIA2.

However, self-bag drop facilities have not yet been made available, so passengers with baggage to check-in will still need to proceed to the Baggage Drop Counters.

Both web and mobile check-ins are available 14 days up to 1 hour before scheduled time of departure for AirAsia flights, and from 14 days up to 4 hours before their scheduled time of departure for AirAsia X flights.
