AirAsia moves to Mactan Cebu T2 from July 2018

AirAsia moves its international flights to the new Terminal 2 Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) from 1st July, 2018. Cebu is located in Central Visayas, Philippines with the airport serving nearly 30 international and domestic airlines.

Terminal 2 Mactan Cebu International Airport

MCIA Terminal 2 is designed using uniquely indigenous architecture with modern facilities. The departure hall has 48 check-in counters, expandable to seventy-two. For ease of accessibility and convenience, a two-level forecourt separates arrival and departure areas, both fully integrated with landside development.

Terminal 2 offers seven passenger boarding bridges with provision for future expansion to 12, serving both wide and narrow body aircraft. Twelve  escalators and 15 elevators facilitate easy passenger movement, especially for those with disabilities.

AirAsia operates several international flights to and from Cebu:

  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Singapore
  • Taipei
  • Incheon
  • Shenzhen
  • Hangzhou

AirAsia’s Cebu – Shanghai flights begin 7th July 2018.

AirAsia passengers holding international flight bookings to and from Cebu’s Mactan International Airport (MCIA) starting 1st July will receive confirmation of the move to Terminal 2.

For ease of movement through the new airport, AirAsia advises passengers to:

  • Arrive at the new terminal at least 3 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure
  • Conduct self-check-in via
    • AirAsia website or
    • AirAsia mobile app or
    • kiosks located at the airport

before proceeding to the baggage drop counters.
