The additional flight frequency was celebrated with a special send-off on the 17th July, when guests onboard Flight AK45 to Colombo were handed special AirAsia’s merchandise as they boarded their flight. The travellers were seen off by H.E. Air Chief Marshal Sumangala Dias, Sri Lanka’ High Commissioner to Malaysia, Bo Lingam, AirAsia Aviation Group Limited Group CEO and Riad Asmat, AirAsia Malaysia CEO.
AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Riad Asmat noted the increased demand for seats, following the resumption of the Colombo route in April 2022. He added that Colombo is a captivating city which holds immense appeal for both leisure and business travellers.
