Malaysia Airlines adds Kota Kinabalu – Singapore

Malaysia Airlines’ new direct Kota Kinabalu – Singapore inaugural flight on 27th August 2022, arrived in the Sabah Capital to a special welcome ceremony for the arriving passengers. Flight MH648 landed at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) at 12:25pm from Changi International Airport (SIN).

Passengers were welcomed with a water cannon salute upon arrival at BKI and received goodies to remember the special occasion, distributed by representatives from Malaysia Airlines Berhad, Tourism Malaysia, Sabah Tourism Board, and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad.

Kota Kinabalu – Singapore Schedule

The airline will operate three flights weekly, operated by B737-800 aircraft. These offer 160 seats, 16 seats in Business Class and 144 seats in Economy Class.

The airline is introducing new strategic routes and increasing our capacity to expand growth, with the aim to achieve more than 70% of pre-COVID-19 capacity by year-end.

The Sabah Tourism Board is working to promote Sabah as a preferred holiday destination to Singaporeans and also to use the popular Singapore hub as a transit point for long haul market travellers to reach Sabah.
