oneworld® is now offering an additional option for those who want travel round the world with a oneworld Explorer fare, but don’t want to visit the northern hemisphere. This new version is exclusively for travel in the southern hemisphere and has been made possible by the launch of services by oneworld partner LATAM Airlines between Brazil’s Sao Paulo and South Africa’s Johannesburg. This new route makes the circumnavigation of the globe south of the equator possible on oneworld member airlines for the first time.
From Johannesburg, Explorers can use Qantas, which links Johannesburg with Sydney, feeding into its extensive Australasian network. As both LATAM and Qantas link Sydney with Santiago, you can also add in the option of a stop in New Zealand before flying on to explore LATAM’s wide South American route network from Santiago.
The new offering also includes flights on a South West Pacific–Africa-South America-South West Pacific routing and may be travelled by flying in a westwards or eastwards direction, with flights included within each continent. oneworld is the only airline alliance which can offer this type of package, with Qantas as the sole Australia based member airline in the grouping.
oneworld Explorer Pricing
