Tigerair Australia has today launched their inaugural Brisbane-Perth flight, representing the only low-cost carrier on the route. The 3,606km flight is one of the longest in Australia and will take between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the direction of travel. Because of the length, the route is often expensive to fly, so an injection of LCC competition is welcome.

Flight times are well suited for all kinds of travellers wishing to get a full day in either Perth or Brisbane before departing.
