Tigerair Australia has today kicked off a new route connecting Brisbane to the Whitsunday Coast. The airport is technically in Proserpine (PPP) but serves as a gateway to the Whitsunday Coast and Airlie Beach. The new route offers more competition to the Whitsundays, which is already served by Jetstar and Virgin Australia.

Flight schedule

Flights are scheduled 4 times a week on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays. Departure from Brisbane is at 7:00 AM with arrival into Proserpine at 8:45 AM. The return flight leaves at 9:25 AM, touching down at 10:55 AM in Brisbane. Additionally, Tigerair is adding two extra weekly flights to Sydney as part of the Whitsunday Coast expansion.

Launch fares from $49

To celebrate the launch of the new route, Tigerair is offering launch fares of $49 between Brisbane and Proserpine. You’ll have to act quickly as this sale ends at midday AEDT on March 24. Normal prices on the route will be $79 one way.
