In an airline industry first, Singapore Airlines (SIA) customers will enjoy unlimited free in-flight wi-fi in all cabin classes, from 1st July 2023. Premium Economy Class and Economy Class passengers will be especially pleased with this announcement.
This enhanced Wi-Fi offering will be available across almost all the entire aircraft fleet and the entire global SIA route network. This will only be unavailable on the seven Boeing 737-800 NGs that are not Wi-Fi enabled.
Free in-flight wi-fi: unlimited
Although it might not allow you to stream movies, travellers in all cabin classes will be able to stay connected with loved ones or work online. You can keep up to date with the latest news or your social media feeds, even at 36,000 feet in the sky. SIA operates 136 passenger aircraft as of 1st May 2023.
To enjoy the service, there is one condition. You’ll need to enter your KrisFlyer membership details at the point of booking through the Manage Booking online option, or during check-in. Non-KrisFlyer members may also sign up for free membership online or on board their flight. This is done via the SIA digital content portal on the personal mobile devices to enable the complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi.
Suites, First Class, and Business Class customers and PPS Club members, including PPS Club supplementary card holders, will continue to enjoy access to free unlimited in-flight Wi-Fi. Since February 2023, KrisFlyer members travelling in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class have enjoyed complimentary three and two-hour Wi-Fi surf plans respectively and will appreciate the expansion of the coverage.
… In today’s increasingly hyper-connected world, high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity is one of the most important requirements for our customers. Giving them access to free unlimited Wi-Fi is yet another milestone in SIA’s continuous effort to offer an exceptional end-to-end travel experience.
