Scoot codeshare takes off with SIA & SilkAir

Travellers wishing to visit destinations not serviced by Singapore Airlines (SIA) or SilkAir can now take off with Scoot codeshare.

Scoot codeshare options

SIA and SilkAir customers will have access to over 30 codeshare destinations served only by Scoot, SIA Group’s low-cost subsidiary.  

The benefits to SIA and SilkAir customers include:

  • convenient through check-in services
  • Scoot’s FlyBagEat privileges
  • additional destinations
  • SIA will progressively add its ‘SQ’ code
  • SilkAir will add its ‘MI’ code

The first Scoot flights covered by the codeshare arrangements are those serving

  • Athens,
  • Clark,
  • Gold Coast,
  • Hat Yai,
  • Ipoh,
  • Krabi,
  • Kuching and
  • Palembang.

The new agreement enables SIA and SilkAir customers to travel on single-ticket itineraries to these codeshare
destinations. Therefore, boarding passes and baggage tags will be issued up to the final destination at the first point of check-in.

Other benefits and conditions:

SIA and SilkAir customers will be offered:

  • Scoot’s FlyBagEat privileges
    • checked baggage allowance
    • complimentary meal and beverage
    • blanket for flights above four hours
  • Seat selection is available for a fee, in accordance with Scoot’s terms and conditions.

Scoot flies to these destinations, not offered by Singapore Airlines or Silkair:

  • Amritsar, Jaipur, Tiruchirappalli and Lucknow in South Asia.
  • Dalian, Hangzhou, Harbin, Macau, Nanjing, Ningbo, Haikou, Kaohsiung, Jinan, Qingdao, Quanzhou, Sapporo, Shenyang, Tianjin, Wuxi, Xi’an and Zhengzhou in Asia.
  • Clark, Hat Yai, Krabi, Ipoh, Kuching, Kuantan and Palembang in South East Asia.
  • Athens, Gold Coast, Honolulu and Jeddah, further afield.

The codeshare flights are subject to regulatory approvals. Tickets will be available at www.singaporeairlines.com, www.silkair.com and travel agents.
