The Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group has expanded its quarantine-free travel lane for fully vaccinated travellers (VTL) from 14 cities, adding to existing VTL arrangements with Brunei and Germany, which began in September 2021. New countries in the network are Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. Additional points expected to be announced in coming weeks. Please note that the VTL is only available for returning Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents. For non-Singapore citizens, you can check your eligibility for entry on the drop down choices on this page. If you are intending to transit through Singapore, you must be travelling on one of the airlines currently operating transit flights at Changi Airport. The page details what you can and can’t do and which areas of the airport you may access. More details details on the VTL requirements for travel into Singapore can be found here.
Quarantine-free travel lane
Singapore Airlines will operate VTL services from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, London, Los Angeles, Milan, New York, Paris, and Rome effective 19th October 2021. SIA’s VTL services from Seoul will begin on 16th November 2021. Currently, SIA operates VTL services from Bandar Seri Begawan, Frankfurt, and Munich. Scoot, SIA’s sister airline, begins VTL flights from Berlin on 20th October 2021.
Multi-city itineraries within VTL countries are allowed if customers meet the 14-day travel history requirement, which includes transit countries. For example, a traveller may fly from Singapore to Paris, and onward from Paris to Amsterdam, and still be eligible for the VTL flight from Amsterdam to Singapore. However, a customer who flies from Singapore to Los Angeles via Tokyo will not be eligible for SIA’s non-stop VTL flight from Los Angeles if the stay in Los Angeles is less than 14 days. This is because Japan is currently not included in the list of VTL countries.
Customers travelling on the VTL flights can also enjoy fuss-free transfers via Singapore Changi Airport to 59 destinations within the SIA Group network. Find the SIA Group’s VTL flight schedule in Annexe A. All travellers must ensure that they are eligible for Singapore’s VTL arrangements before their flights, as in the first paragraph, above.
