Batik Air flights to Penang and Kuching will have expanded flight frequencies out of KLIA from 25th July 2024. These two key domestic destinations, Penang and Kuching are both growth areas.
Batik Air flights for SUKMA
The additional flights to Kuching will be especially welcome with the increased travel needs for the upcoming 21st SUKMA Games which will be held in Sarawak on 17th – 24th August 2024. Flights from KLIA to Kuching will see an additional 14 services, bringing the total to 28 weekly flights, highlighting the airline’s support in time for the sporting event that bring communities together across Malaysia.
Penang is scheduled to gain significantly with the rise in flights departing from KLIA to grow from 21 to 33 weekly flights.

He added that the anticipated event is expected to bring in 15,000 athletes and officials as well as 20,000 visitors nationwide. In response to the heightened traveller demand for SUKMA, Batik Air will double the daily flights to Kuching to four services. Flights to Penang will increase from three to five, from 25th July 2024.
