If you carry a camera when you travel and end up with a pain in the neck from the weight, this may be just what you need. Taiwanese startup PONTE Leather Company has come up with a new camera strap designed to cut neck and back strain.
By transferring the weight of the camera largely to the shoulders rather than the neck and back, the Camera Lift Strap helps to reduce strain in these areas. This simple device incorporates an extra lift strap that attaches to the top handle of any standard backpack.
…. The idea for the Camera Lift Strap came up after I spent two weeks traveling around Florence, Italy. I had been carrying my camera around town the entire time using a traditional camera strap. Though it was uncomfortable it was worth the sacrifice to have my camera handy and ready to go, so I would never miss a shot. PONTE Leather Company CEO, Jerry Hu
The Camera Lift Strap can be attached to most types of cameras using one of the supplied attachment methods and is expected to be available in the market by the end of 2016. The strap comes in choices of black or red leather and Midnight Blue, Fire Brick, Light Steel Blue, and Burnt Orange canvas.
In development since 2013, the Lift Strap has completed the prototyping and testing stages and with materials and factory in place, it’s ready for the start of production using crowdfunding through Kickstarter.
If you’d like to get your hands on one of the first of these handy travel aids, get your name on the list in the Kickstarter page. You can find additional information on the PONTE Leather Company website, and follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
