Got airline tickets you currently can’t use? Malaysia Airlines rebooking now has more flexibility, with an extension to eligible passengers. The extension offers longer ticket validity with a one-time fare difference and service fee waiver, due to uncertainty arising from the prolonged Movement Control Order and interstate travel ban in Malaysia. International flights are also affected due to international border closures.
Malaysia Airlines rebooking
Eligible passengers can now rebook their travels by 31st December 2021 for travel by June 2022. The previously dates for rebooking travels was on or before 30th June 2021 for travel by 31st December 2021.
The airline recommends that travellers planning to make an advance booking for their future travels using Economy Flex tickets, aa extra fare tier offering a stress-free and easy travel process.
The Economy Flex comes with benefits including:
- unlimited date changes with no fees incurred
- free refunds (without a fee)
- Go Show flexibility
- priority check-in and boarding
- check-in baggage allowance of 35kg.
As part of the airline’s adaptions for seamless, hygienic, and safe travel Malaysia Airlines is progressively introducing a fully contactless journey with innovative features.
These include the Digital Travel Health to streamline passengers’ journey with worldwide COVID-19 related policies. This will confirm passengers’ travel eligibility steps before departure. The contactless features is an extension of the airline’s Fly Confidently campaign designed to transform passengers’ journey starting from home.
Passengers can create and customise their bookings by selecting preferred meals, seats and other services with the integration of enhanced features on Malaysia Airlines’ mobile app.
MHholidays quarantine package
As Malaysia continues to impose quarantine order for international arrivals from certain destinations, MHholidays, the tour operating arm of Malaysia Airlines now offers a quarantine package. This package includes premium hospitality including complimentary transport and welcome drink at selected partner hotels, providing convenience to customers. In addition, customers can have a pleasant and comfortable quarantine stay at the hotels approved by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health. The minimum number of nights required for a quarantine stay is 7 nights.
