Visit this old Portuguese outpost which stood strong for almost five hundred years. Among the many 16th Century churches is Basilica of Bom Jesus, holding the remains of St Francis Xavier who was reburied in Goa after temporary interment in Malacca. Goan beaches like Calangute and Baga are world renowned for both their pristine beauty and white sandy beaches.
