Responding to the rising popularity of cash payment, BigPay is set to launch their BigPay DuitNow QR payment option. As one of Malaysia’s largest FinTech platforms, BigPay is on track for the launch in the second quarter of this 2021.

With BigPay’s entry into the DuitNow ecosystem operated by Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet), BigPay users will soon be able to use DuitNow for instant domestic money transfers, and pay at merchants with the DuitNow QR function, Malaysia’s national QR code standard for payments at local merchants.

Salim added that BigPay confirms that the introduction is on track for roll out as part of their pipeline of new products and innovations.
The introduction of DuitNow QR payment enables users to pay at a wide range of merchants across Malaysia. With this in mind, BigPay, which aspires to be the region’s challenger bank, has a range of new features planned for 2021. These include cash top-up at local convenience stores, insurance, digital loans, and wealth management.

BigPay has recently launched the Bill Payment feature as part of its move to be the go-to app for financial services. This allows users to pay bills in just a few clicks. Additionally, BigPay has received their Community Credit License and will soon be able to offer loans to small businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals at affordable rates.
