Batik Air (formerly known as Malindo Air) have reinstated direct Bali flights from Kuala Lumpur to the well-known holiday destination Denpasar, Bali from 2nd June 2022, their second destination in Indonesia following the reopening of international borders. With the reinstatement, Batik Air’s capacity to Indonesia will increase as the airline has already resumed its twice daily services to Jakarta since 27th March 2022.

Reinstated Bali flights

Flight OD306 will depart Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 09:10hrs local time, arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar at 12:15hrs local time. All-in, one-way economy class fares from Kuala Lumpur to Denpasar start from RM489. Batik Air will initially offer four services weekly, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, between 2nd and 24th June 2022. The services will then increase in stages to twice daily from 25th June 2022 onwards, with bookings now open on their website.

Bali has been a key market for the airline since before the pandemic and this newly reinstated route will provide convenient connections for the gradual increase in the number of holiday makers travelling to Bali. With the reopening of international borders amidst the lifting of travel restrictions, Batik Air plans to adjust capacity to match the demand for international air travel.

….. This route is the latest addition to Batik Air’s plan to provide convenient connectivity for passengers from India, Nepal and Bangladesh, as well as passengers connecting from other destinations enroute to Bali and beyond to Australia. Batik Air is steadily gaining international momentum in rebuilding our capacity and routes. Mushafiz Bin Mustafa Bakri, Batik Air CEO
Mushafiz also added that Batik Air is continuing to set the pace in terms of recovery and resume a significant part of their international network. Apart from Denpasar, Bali, the airline has also reinstated scheduled international services to Jakarta, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Lahore, Trichy, Bangkok and Singapore.
