AirAsia has announced the launch of direct flights Bintulu-Singapore, commencing on 27th December 2017. The four times weekly flights will be the first international flights for Bintulu, a developing centre of energy – intensive industries in East Malaysia. The city, located on the west coast of Sarawak in Borneo, has long been popular for its laid back lifestyle. Relax on the beautiful Temasya Beach or visit Similajau National Park, about 30km from town.

***IMPORTANT : Effective 7th November 2017, AirAsia will relocate operations at Singapore Changi Airport from Terminal 1 to Terminal 4. The terminal uses new state-of-the-art, fully-automated facilitates to ensure Fast and Seamless Travel (FAST).
This new AirAsia route connects Bintulu via 39 weekly flights to three destinations, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and State capital, Kuching. It joins another recently added internatonal service in Sarawak, Kuching-Shenzhen.
The airline is also increasing flight frequencies between other key routes in East Malaysia:
- Kuching-Miri to 29 times weekly
- Miri-Singapore to 7 times weekly and
- Kuching-Singapore to 16 times weekly.
