AirAsia has extended the Credit Account validity period to three years (36 months) from the date of issuance for all of its guests with a valid credit account issued before 30th June 2021. In a statement issued on 23rd July 2021, the airline confirmed that all Credit Accounts issued before June 30th 2021 have now been automatically extended. This seamless process means you don’t have to take action yourself. You should have received an email to your registered email address confirming the extension.
Credit Account validity extension
The extension is applicable only for direct online bookings made via airasia.com or via the airasia Super App. For group bookings or those made with travel agents, you should refer to your booking agent for further assistance.
Adam Geneave, Chief Customer Happiness Officer of airasia says Group AirAsia will continue to put the needs of their guests first as they understand that their travel plans may have changed given the current circumstances.
…. Hence, we are pleased to extend our Credit Account validity to three years on top of providing the flexibility to make future bookings at any time, for any destination and on any AirAsia-operated flight – even during the peak travel seasons.
Your Credit Account can also be used to
- pay for government taxes and fees
- purchase baggage allowance
- or pay for other optional services including
- seat selection
- inflight meals
Credit Accounts are not limited to the person on the original booking and can be used to pay for flights for others.
…. We would like to thank all of our guests who have chosen this option which provides the ultimate flexibility for future travel and we cannot wait to welcome everyone onboard when travel restrictions ease. Adam Geneave
