AirAsia introduces new food items to the menu

It’s almost worth booking a flight to anywhere on the AirAsia / AirAsia X networks because of the new food menu, which includes a special Deepavali menu to be introduced from 15th October. This is just before the Hindu festival of Deepavali, celebrated widely across the region covered by the AirAsia network.

Special Deepavali menu

Passengers will be able to enjoy the new menu items on selected AirAsia and AirAsia X flights, with booking now available for Ashok’s Butter Masala Chicken Biryani and Murukku on selected Malaysia AirAsia (AK)  and AirAsia X (D7) flights.

Ashok’s Butter Masala Chicken Biryani is served with grilled chicken, aromatic pulao biryani and vegetable curry and priced at MYR 12 for online pre-booking or MYR 15 if purchased on-board. Murukku,the very popular and ‘more-ish’ Malaysian snack is also available on-board for MYR 5 per serving.

For passengers travelling on Malaysia AirAsia X (D7), Ashok’s Butter Masala Chicken Biryani will also be available along with other festive menu items such as Roti Prata with Chicken Curry and Idli with Sambar served with Kesari. The new items on Malaysia AirAsia X flights can be pre-booked online starting at MYR 15 each, or MYR 19 when purchased on-board.

Earn extra BIG Points

AirAsia BIG Members travelling on Malaysia AirAsia (AK) flights who pre-book Ashok’s Butter Masala Chicken Biryani or Kabali Vegetable Biryani up until 29th October 2016 for flights between 20th October and 31st December 2016 will earn themselves 100 AirAsia BIG points. Other pre-booked meals will earn 50 AirAsia BIG points.

Other new items on the Menu

Passengers on both Malaysia AirAsia (AK) and AirAsia X (D7) flights will see the new snack item Nachos with Salsa Dip added to
the menu, priced at MYR 10 on AirAsia (AK) and MYR 12 together with a can of Coca-Cola on AirAsia X (D7). Malaysia AirAsia (AK) has also introduced a new Kid’s Meal – Chicken Nuggets, sold on board for MYR 10.
