Cabin crew industrial action threatens to disrupt a number of long haul British Airways flights between 1st and 16th July 2017. However, the airline has taken action to minimise the inconvenience, with the assistance of their oneworld alliance partner Qatar Airways.

A statement from the airline indicates that the possible disruptions are a result of proposed industrial action by one union out of five that represent their cabin crew fleets. Despite this, they have given an assurance that all passengers will be able to fly to their destinations.

Cancellation of some flights
The airline intends to operate almost all flights, although a small number of Heathrow’s long-haul services have been merged. Affected passengers have been notified.

BA123 Heathrow to Doha (Saturday July 1)
BA122 Doha to Heathrow (Sunday July 2)
BA79 Heathrow to Muscat (Saturday July 1)
BA80 Muscat to Heathrow (Sunday July 2)
BA123 Heathrow to Doha (Sunday July 2)
BA122 Doha to Heathrow (Monday July 3)
BA83 Heathrow to Abuja (Sunday July 2)
BA82 Abuja to Heathrow (Monday July 3)
Short Haul flights are expected to suffer less disruption, with BA’s oneworld alliance partner Qatar Airways flying a small number of these services on their behalf. Changes will be updated in the system on an on-going basis.

All flights to and from London Gatwick, London City and Stansted should operate as normal. So too, will recently launched weekend only Mediterranean services to and from Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.
