Tigerair Australia has today launched their inaugural Brisbane-Perth flight, representing the only low-cost carrier on the route. The 3,606km flight is one of the longest in Australia and will take between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the direction of travel. Because of the length, the route is often expensive to fly, so an injection of LCC competition is welcome.
Schedule
The timetable initially shows 4 weekly flights, with up to 6 scheduled at peak times such as school holidays. Flight times are well suited for all kinds of travellers wishing to get a full day in either Perth or Brisbane before departing. Arrival times are also great for maximising rest and time on the ground.
