Subang Skypark Link

The Subang Skypark Link train is the quickest way to reach the commuter airport Subang Skypark, from Kuala Lumpur. UPDATE: Well it was, until the service was stopped due to poor ridership. Hopefully it will be reinstated with the return of jet services to and from Subang SkyPark. The journey between KL Sentral and Subang Jaya (the only midway stop) is 17 minutes and from there to the airport is 13 minutes. The train operates between 6.05am (6.57am from Skypark) and 11.30pm (11.20pm from Skypark) daily. It’s also easy to connect to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The train is equipped with luggage racks at one end of each carriage with seats for all passengers. There are no hanging straps or poles for commuter travellers as these train sets are only used for commuter services on limited occasions.

Seats are comfortable, arranged in pairs either side of a wide central aisle. Each carriage of the four car train has three sets of doors.

Schedule and Fares

With the upgrading of the rail network in the Klang Valley, there may be changes to the schedule. Check the latest timetable for the Skypark Link on the KTM website. This link also has the fare details. The full cash fare (card – MYR10) each way for the full journey is MYR11. Travelling either way from Subang Jaya is MYR5/MYR4.50.

Discounts are available for certain groups of travellers including students and disabled passengers. Monthly passes are also available at a good discount for regular commuters.

Useful to know

If you need to get to KLIA/klia2 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) you can connect to the LRT service at Subang Jaya, heading for Putra Heights. There is a bus every half hour from Putra Heights to KLIA/klia2 and the combo rail/bus ticket will cost you MYR10. It may not be the fastest (though we’ve yet to time the other options) but it’s certainly the cheapest method, with the easiest connections.
