Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Garuda Indonesia have expanded their codeshare agreement to flights between Singapore and the Indonesian capital Jakarta. SIA and Garuda each operate nine flights per day on the route.
SIA and Garuda codesharing details
Since the initial 2010 codesharing on flights between Singapore and Denpasar (Bali), the agreement has been expanded to other routes. The airlines added flights between Singapore and Surabaya in 2014. SIA’s regional subsidiary SilkAir codeshares on Garuda Indonesia-operated flights to Denpasar and Surabaya, while Garuda Indonesia codeshares on SilkAir-operated flights to ten destinations in its Indonesia network.
This latter arrangement gives passengers extra options to get from Singapore to:
- Balikpapan
- Bandung
- Denpasar
- Lombok
- Makassar
- Manado
- Medan
- Semarang
- Surabaya
- Yogyakarta
Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia operate a combined total of 175 weekly scheduled services between Singapore and Indonesia.
