New Malaysia Airlines codeshares giving passengers better connectivity will improve the airline’s performance and customer convenience.
New Malaysia Airlines codeshares
Passengers between Kuala Lumpur and several major cities in the United Kingdom (UK) can now connect straight through to their destination. This follows the agreement between Malaysia Airlines and British Airways allowing travellers to book direct to
- Aberdeen
- Belfast
- Edinburgh
- Glasgow
- Manchester and
- Newcastle
beginning 2nd October 2019 for travel from 9th October. British Airways is one of Malaysia Airlines’ partner airlines in the oneworld alliance. These new codeshare services will be marketed as Malaysia Airlines flights, simplifying ticketing to one document issued by the national carrier. The airline flies twice daily to London Heathrow from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
European destinations
Other connections on British Airways and Malaysia Airlines network will be enabled progressively in 2019/2020. These services will give travellers to Europe more choices and are subject to regulatory approval.

Travellers from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur can now book Malaysia Airlines flights to 14 destinations the airline serves in Malaysia, including Langkawi, Penang and Bintulu. They can also connect through to nine cities in Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Vietnam.
