AirAsia X heads to Hawaii from mid 2017

AirAsia X heads to Hawaii this year, with the announcement of the airline’s inaugural flight to the US via Japan on 28^th June 2017. The four times weekly service from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia will fly to Honolulu, Hawaii via Osaka in Japan, subject to Japanese regulatory approval.

To celebrate the launch, AirAsia X is offering all-in, one-way fares starting from MYR 499, on sale from 11^th to 26^th February for travel between 28^th June 2017 and 6^th February 2018. If you’d like to enjoy the AirAsia X Premium Flatbed, you can pick up an all-in, one-way ticket from MYR 2,999. The Premium flatbed seat comes with meals, pillow and blanket, entertainment and 40kg baggage allowance. You’ll also have complimentary access to the Premium Red Lounge at KLIA before you depart.

The special introductory fares are available only on the AirAsia website. The offer is not available on the AirAsia mobile app.

Travel options

Passengers can connect seamlessly to Honolulu from other cities within the AirAsia and AirAsia X’s network:

• by using of AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service at KLIA2
• or enjoy a stopover in Kuala Lumpur

Give yourself greater flexibility by choosing the Multi-City option, which allows you to spend a few days in Osaka (a Japanese visa is required) before travelling onwards to Honolulu.

• Passengers transiting in Osaka do not require a Japanese visa during the two-hour stopover
• return to your seats on the flight after clearing security with any carry-on luggage or belongings
